#1 – Duck & waffle – Bishopsgate, London. Ive wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time! One of my best friends who lives in London mentioned it to me and told me it was a must visit place. Located on the 40th floor so the views are meant to be and I’m sure they are amazing. Open 24/7 they serve British food with a twist and their menu features a lot of dishes which are perfect for a group to go and pick and share a few items.
My must try menu item = Duck & waffle, crispy leg confit, fried duck egg, mustard maple syrup.
#2 – Cornerstone – Hackney, London. I’ve been following this restaurant and it’s owner chef Tom brown now for a while. Coming from being head chef at Nathan outlaws restaurant. Being mentored by Nathan outlaw means Tom obvious excels at cooking seafood and fish and has a daily changing menu which is inspired by sharing plates. Check out his website and instagram and you will be 🤤 at all of his amazing dishes!
My must try menu item = Potted shrimp crumpet, kohlrabi, gherkins.
#3 – Atomic burger – Oxford/ Bristol. Now if you love burgers, and you like them stacked up and overflowing with all sorts of heavenly foods then you’ll love this place. Customise your burger and choose your sides, wether that’s plain and simple skin on fries or a super side of fries topped with bbq sauce, pulled pork and crispy onions!! Wash it all down with a cold beer or even better one of there ridiculous freak shakes. Don’t eat for a few days before Visiting this place 😋🍔🍟
My must try menu item = The Johnny B bad burger, USA cheese, bbq onions, hash browns, Cajun bacon, buffalo sauce
#4 – Cereal killer cafe – Brick lane/ Camden market, London.YES you read that right…a cereal cafe!!! 😍 So I haven’t been to this cafe but from everything I’ve read about it and looking at the menu, I mean…what’s not to like?! You can create your own cereal, choose your cereal from behind the counter, type of milk and then finally your toppings…mini Oreo? Toffee popcorn? Cupcake frosting?! If you fancy something savoury then maybe the cornflake burger or cereal fried chicken…Sounds interesting doesn’t it? 🤔 wash it all down with a coffee or a killer cocktail. Please piss off coronavirus so I can get on the next train to London to give this place a try!!
My must try menu item = Choc lit cereal, a mix of the best chocolate cereals, coco pops ice cream, chocolate nibs, digestive nibbles & chocolate milk 🍫🥣
#5 – The carpenters arms – Fulbrook, Oxfordshire. So this place is literally a 10 minute walk from where I live. It’s recently been taken over and the comments I’ve heard about it have been amazing. Head chef Tom is previously head chef at Humphreys restaurant, a 5 star hotel at stoke park. And his experience shows in his food. I haven’t actually been for a meal off the menu (apart from a roast which was definitely the best I’ve eaten in the area i live in!) but I’m confident everything I’ve heard is true! This will definitely be the first place I’ll be running too when it re opens.
My must try menu item = Not one item but it would have to be the bar snacks, they change week to week and there is aways something that catches my eye!
Each one very different but defiantly worth a try! I’ll be sure to blog about each one when I finally visit them.
